Tanglewood Burglary and Arrests
A burglary took place on Wednesday, November 9th between 3-4:30 pm on Tanglewood Rd.The two "alleged" burglars were spotted casing houses, along with an accomplice. The accomplice was seen repeatedly circling the area, driving an SUV with paper license plate, and was apparently feeding them info.
The police were called on a citizen's tip. They found the car was stolen, called in reinforcements, and found the burglars using a helicopter and a good old-fashioned door-to-door search of the area. All three were captured, with the help of many neighbors and workers in the area who helped police spot them. We've been told by detectives that these three were gang members out of California. They made a real mess of the house they burglarized but fortunately, it appears the evidence against them is pretty strong and they should be locked up for a while.
Just a heads-up to the neighborhood that this crime occurred and to remind everyone to keep their eyes and ears open. Call the police if you see any suspicious characters/activity and let police check them out. It clearly takes a lot of awareness and action on the part of citizens to keep our neighborhood safe--and we
have a tremendous advantage in that we in Leafmore Hills know each other and have a good network. Congratulations to everyone, citizens and law enforcement, who helped capture these criminals.
