Leafmore Sign Toppers

Leafmore Creek Park Hills Civic Association's application for approval of sign toppers was approved at the regular session of the DeKalb Board of Commissioners meeting on October 9, 2007.

We want to thank Tom Sapp for his excellent design work for the toppers! They will create a unifying artistic touch to the streetscapes within the neighborhood. We all owe a special thanks to the efforts of Rodger Burgess who coordinated this project. Rodger found a shop to produce the toppers, another one to attach them, got the OK from the county Traffic Engineering department, and the last step was the approval yesterday by the BOC. We will get this process moving now that the government red tape is finished!

Water Wise Landscaping

Leafmore Creek Park Hills Civic Association will host a workshop on Water Wise Landscaping on February 11th at 7PM at the Leafmore Club House on Altamont Dr. This workshop is provided as a free service by the Public Education Office in the DeKalb County Public Works Department.

In these drought stricken days, we can all learn more about minimizing water needs for landscapes.

Please take advantage of this free adult education opportunity.
