DeKalb Commission Candidates To Hold 'Meet and Greets'
Super District Commissioner Kathie Gannon will be the guest at the
Leafmore Swim and Tennis Club on Tuesday, October 30th, from
6:30-8:30 PM. She is running for re-election to her seat.
Come meet Comm. Gannon and let her know OUR concerns and ask
questions about the issues we face in central DeKalb, and her solutions.
Past President Rodger Burgess is hosting the event for Ms. Gannon.
DeKalb County Commissioner and Presiding Officer Burrell Ellis, who attended
the last meeting of the Leafmore Creek Park Hills Civic Association where he made
a very positive impression, is holding in-home get-togethers throughout DeKalb County to
enable the public to voice their priorities. These are valuable opportunities for you to personally meet Comm. Ellis and share your ideas, hear other neighbors, and reach towards a new consensus for DeKalb.
Comm. Ellis is running for CEO of DeKalb County to replace Vernon Jones who is not eligible to run for a third term. Thursday, November 8, at 6:30 PM at the home of Harriett Hollis, 2555Weigelia Avenue. Take Oak Grove to Fair Oaks to Akin to Weigelia. OakGrove connects LaVista and Briarcliff.

REP. LEVITAS TO HOST TOWN HALL MEETING 9/24
Representative Kevin Levitas is hosting a "town hall" meeting on Monday, Sept 24 to discuss a number of local and wider area issues. While the Sembler project is not intended to be the primary focus, members of the school board and Supt. Lewis have stated they will be in attendance, after being absent from all of the Quadrant Study meetings at Kittredge.
